"Starbucks is company that I am familiar with as I am a consumer for them on a daily basis. As a consumer, I see that they have three non-financial measures that the company might use to help anticipate the customers needs. These measures would include the online app, free wifi and sitting areas within their stores, and the rewards programs. The online app is a non-financial measure that they use to help their consumers get what they need on the go. This helps consumers pick up their product immediately if the order was placed on the app. Another great aspect of the app is that it is easy to use especially for people who cannot speak as it would probably be better for them to use the app. Starbucks really has made the app for the needs of the customers. They took into consideration people who are in a rush and also people who might have a hard time speaking. Another non-financial measure is free wifi and sitting areas within the stores. This is something that Starbucks does for the needs of the customers. Some customers need a place away from their home or regular space and Starbucks is making that happen for them. They are helping them by providing free wifi and free space to sit and relax or a place to help them do their work. Some people may not even have wifi within their vicinity and Starbucks gives them the accessibility to wifi as well. Last but not least is the rewards program, which is really benefiting the needs of the customers.This is Starbucks' way of thanking them for coming into their store. With every coffee or pastry item that is bought, the customer gets points which will eventually get them a free coffee or pastry item. This is solely a act of gratitude and Starbucks in no way needs to do this, but does this to help the customer feel like they are a valuable aspect to them and also to reward them. These three non-financial measures really helps anticipate the customers needs."
