How would you feel about the following situation? Please explain your stance.

I observed a leader confront is disciplinary actions not being applied to all employees the exact same way. For instance, employees who were considered to be more favorable were less likely to be punished for mistakes and errors than less favorable employees. The situation was brought to the leader, and the leader seemed shocked. The leader simply brushed off the situation and ultimately this resulted in the employees who were disciplined to feel that favoritism played a part in the workplace.
