how would you reply to this class mate post?
First and foremost, when working with Sheila and Todd, it's best to be supportive no matter the background or culture. In both scenarios are specific needs, so in order to meet their needs, as a professional we must identify both clients' main problem. With Shelia, I will know what her personal values is and moving forward what would she want to do. It seems that she is trying to please her family more over herself. In comparison to Sheila, Todd is also being committed to his job which is bringing stress to his home life, as well as his complicated home life.
With both situation's, it is best to communicate with both clients, letting them express themselves. In addition, understanding their values and why these people who are affecting them, is a major issue in their lives. However, I would have to have self-awareness towards what matters most to them.
