How would you respond to the following paragraph? What do you agree or disagree on?

An ANOVA is referred to as an analysis of variance, while MANOVA is referred to as multivariate analysis of variance. The main difference between ANOVA and MANOVA is that ANOVA includes only one dependent variable, whereas MANOVA can have multiple dependent variables. The main reason to use a MANOVA instead of an ANOVA is that it may show statistical significance in group differences that an ANOVA may not have revealed (Mertler and Reinhart, 2017). The advantage of using a MANOVA is being able to test more than one dependent variable. Realistically, humans are complex and having more than one dependent variables allows for a more comprehensive and detailed analysis. The disadvantage of MANOVA is that it is much more complex and very difficult to interpret. This week's combination of the MANOVA and MANCOVA lab was much more difficult compared to the ANOVA lab.

A research question that could be tested using MANOVA is: Does gender and ethnicity significantly effect one's anxiety score on Beck'S anxiety inventory and their self-esteem score that is measured on the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. The two independent variables are gender and ethnicity. The dependent variables are anxiety scores and self-esteem scores.
