how would you respond to this statement? The Greater Boston Food Bank is a member of Feeding America and the largest "hunger-relief organization in New England." Their values include, team member wellbeing; teamwork; diversity, equity, and inclusion; respect; and trust. This food bank is particularly interesting to me because the greater Boston area is a large area with many diverse groups of people. Each group is sure to have their own set of needs and I would like to explore how the food bank provides for them all. Diving a bit deeper into the Boston area, I would like to learn more about the WIC Program here in Boston. I worked with the WIC program in Maine where I went to college, but I would anticipate that the program in Maine is much different from the one here in Boston. More than just providing food assistance, WIC also provides "nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and other services, free of charge to Massachusetts families who qualify." These services can be just as important as providing food itself, as food insecurity is not a one pronged issue
