How would you response to this discussion post?

The government-provided function I chose is public transportation. I think that the way they've been doing it with the buses, trains, trolley's, and ferries has been very efficient and I feel like you don't hear of many struggles revolving those different ways of transportation. But when you look at these different way to transport, what are ways they could be more efficient. We see businesses that are slowly growing bigger like Uber, I have only used Uber a couple times and I have only had good experiences with it and I think that if you were a competitor, you should try doing what Uber is doing. Not neccesarily letting just any random person work for you, but everyone uses technology nowadays so I think you should try moving towards that if you aren't already. This would include buying your tickets online, finding where the bus, train, etc. is and how far away they are by using a specific app.

The Question: Government provides many public services, from education to roads to food stamps. Pick a government-provided function and explain how it might be done more efficiently if done by private, profit seeking firms who compete with other. Please try to pick one that has not already been used by other students.
