Noor was appointed as the General Manager supervising 103 employees at Arabia Contracting

International. Since his hiring, Noor noticed that not all of his employees are happy and satisfied. Lamis is

Noor's Secretary; although she sometimes feels bored about her monotonous administrative duties but she

is the only one responsible of completing those tasks from A to Z. Khalil, the youngest Engineer likes the

fact that his job provides him with the flexibility of creating and implementing new ideas but doesn't feel

supported by his team members who are working with him on the same project. On the other hand,

Mohamad is a Project Manager who is very dynamic in doing many activities such as traveling to many

countries to attend seminars and meet different suppliers and following up with the engineers on all the

aspects of the project, ranging from the designs to financials, operation and execution.

In Noor's opinion, pay is the single most important driver of job satisfaction, and he wants to ensure that

employees do not leave ACI over the pay dissatisfaction. Based on what we have been discussing in the Job

Satisfaction chapter, maybe you can help clarify some issues for Noor at ACI.
