If the data set you found last week does not work very well7 or you would like to nd a new data set to work with, please feel free to do so. Do not pick a data set that represents the entire population If your data set represents the entire population of what you are interested in, then no condence intervals are needed. (1) Pick one quantitative variable from the data set. (2) Use bootstrap function of constructing condence interval for a mean, median and standard deviation in Statkey to construct a bootstrap sampling distribution of the mean Make sure to generate at least 10000 samples State clearly what the statistics and the parameter are. (3) Upload a picture of this distribution. State clearly the mean and the standard deviation of the bootstrap sampling distribution (i.e., the standard error). (4) Describe the shape of this distribution and then determine and explain whether it makes sense to use this bootstrap sampling distribution to produce a condence interval. Please pay special attention about your sample and the population. If your sample is actually the entire population, does it still make sense to use condence intervals?
