Human trafficking is a very serious issue that our society is facing. While we acknowledge the seriousness of the issue, it still occurs in our country. What would happen if a country saw no wrong in this issue? "Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act" (Blue Campaign, What is Human Trafficking?). I personally see no way that anyone could justify this act as ethical, however, under the thinking of ethical relativism it is a real possibility. Ethical relativism is the belief that ethical or moral values and beliefs are relative to the various individuals or societies that hold them (PHILO-notes, 2019). This way of thinking can be described as simpler as "I have my point of view, you have yours, but neither is more right than the other based on our personal or societal upbringings. So, if ethical relativism is considered the correct way to look at morality, it would be up to the country and the people within to decide if human trafficking is ethical or not. As stated before, I see no world in which one could justify this stance. This could be compared to what happened During World War II in Nazi, Germany. At the time, millions of civilians were under the impression that what they were doing was the right thing. Looking back on this horrific instance in history, we can see it was everything but that. For this reason, I see no argument that is good enough to suffice for such horrific actions. 

Ethical relativism gives an opportunity for individuality, but to what extent should this practice be allowed in order to maintain safety for citizens of the world?
