Hypothetical Case 2 The Harvard Lampoon published a series of articles that parodied several public figures. Everyone knows The Lampoon is a satirical publication that is meant to be humorous... though not everyone is laughing. From criticizing the size of a President's hands, to a bondage cartoon about a Secretary of State's "ties" to Wall Street, the Lampoon mocks on. Snowflake Sally is a nationally recognized minister and commentator on national politics. The Lampoon lambasted Snowflake Sally saying among other things that she engaged in drunken and debauched rendezvous during a White House breakfast prayer meeting. She is suing The Lampoon for libel and seeking damages for intentional infliction of emotional distress. The Lampoon maintains there was no malice in their publication just their ever present, always understood humor. Snowflake Sally is having none of their excuses.
