I am having issues understanding shifts in supply curves.

For example,

Technological advancements decrease the cost of equipment. Does this mean than it is an increase shift due to higher quality being produced for less cost?

If the wages increase of the technician, does that mean that it is a decrease in shift due to the increase in costs associated to complete the said task?

Do I understand supply curves correctly?
