"Mr Apple owns the fee simple absolute estate in a small, enclosed field at the rear of No 1 Equity Row. Ten years ago, Mr Apple told his then next-door neighbour at No 2 Equity Row that he had no objection to him exercising his dog along the dirt track that crosses the field. Mr Pear has now bought No 2 Equity Row.

Advise Mr Pear if he has any right to exercise his dog along the dirt track across the field at the rear of No 1 Equity Row.
