I am interested in comparing the results of students in my two summer sections to see if their is a difference in average grades obtained due to the format that the class is taught in. one class (with n1=100 randomly selected students) will receive a hybrid taught class (one that has part live and part online components). The other class (with n2=60 randomly selected students) will be taught 100% online. At the end of the semester, I will take their final class averages and hope to determine if their is a difference in their average class grades. How would you recommend that I analyze the data?
a. Compare the variation of the grades of the two classes using a Folded F-test
b. Use an independent analysis to compare the average grades of the two classes
c. Compare the two population proportions using an independent sampling approach
d. Use a paired analysis to compare the average grades of the two classes
