I am preparing and planning for a pilot study. I need help with understanding some things.

My hypotheses would be that communication gaps, language barriers, and cultural differences hurt manufacturing(H1). With the variables from my hypothesis are communication gaps, language barriers, cultural differences, and manufacturing. What would be the best measures to operationalize each of these variables?
