I am reading about Business Requirements and trying to identify characteristics that a system would have, in order to allow online course registration. My ideas are: detailed course catalogue, registration from, student providing their student id or email, payment options, database. I am not sure if I should be more specific or if I have the wrong understanding of what "characteristics" means regarding an online course registration system. I am just not sure how to word my ideas. I know that in order for a student to register for online courses, they need a valid email/id, payment method, select courses, and receive a confirmation email. But I do not know if these are "characteristics".
