I am reading Isbister and they are talking about Modernization theory, Dependency theory, and Marxist theory on schools and underdeveloped countries. My question is why is there so much poverty in Western countries? When you read about the schools and lack of supplies for education it is disheartening. How do we get these countries what they need to educated their children like we have in the United States?
