I am struggling to understand how to get the equation to solve for the entirety. Here is the question:
A bag of M&Ms is dumped on the table and you count 82 blue pieces. Approximately how many M&Ms do you expect to be in the entire bag based on the proportions of the entire class? In a previous question the total of M&Ms I got for the class was 177. However the proportions I got of each group were .237, .254, .186, .141, .056, and .124
I am confused on how to solve this and if a link to a video or an example of how to calculate to get the answer would be greatly appreciated.
