i am struggling with writing my thesis and putting my paper together. i would love some help getting started

Now that you have a narrative draft and a persuasive draft, it is time to put it all together. However, in order to do this, you must have a solid thesis statement (controlling idea) that will support the paper as a whole. Working from both your narrative draft and your persuasive draft, you will create one cohesive thesis statement. Remember that a thesis statement (controlling idea) supports your entire paper and must be both direct and to the point. Read pages 23-25 in Writing to Serve Readers for more information on developing an effective thesis statement. After creating an effective thesis, you will use your narrative draft and persuasive draft to construct a final narrative argument. The final narrative argument should be a blending of your two previous drafts. You are not required to write a whole new paper, but you should blend the most significant elements of the narrative and persuasive drafts to form a single coherent essay that contains a thesis statement.
