I am using Jupyter notebooks to explain the quadratic formula. I have to use markdown code in Latex to show the quadratic formula. I also have to define and call a function to show the quadratic formula. I am running into the error code: SyntaxError: unexpected character after line continuation character when trying to write the markdown code. My markdown code is: \(x = \frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}\) .

Can you please help me with the error code.
