The VAE leadership project is intended to enhance your understanding of leadership by connecting the VAE model (Vision-Alignment-Execution) to a real-life situation that you feel could be improved by better leadership.

Your task is to produce and present a PowerPoint presentation that:

1. Describes a real-life situation that you are personally familiar with, that you feel could be improved by better leadership. This can be a situation on campus, or at work, or in your community, or in another environment with which you are familiar. In your presentation, describe the situation with enough detail so that anyone hearing you could understand it and understand why better leadership is needed.

1. Relate the VAE model of leadership to your situation.Show how the VAE model would work in the situation you describe, in particular, the:
   1. VISION you have -- how would you like things to be?What improvements would you make?
   2. ALIGNMENT -- who do you need to get onboard with your project in order for it to succeed? If you have to get someone's approval to make the improvements you want, what can you say to persuade this person?
   3. EXECUTION -- you are not actually doing the project, but if you were, what steps would you take? If you were to hand off the project to someone else to do, what would that person need from you to successfully execute your plan?

For VAE project, it should meet the following requirements:

• Be brief and succinct in your writing, without restating the VAE concept
• Include a clear statement of a current, real-life situation you are personally familiar with, that you feel could be improved by better leadership
• Include a clear statement of vision that realistically addresses the situation you described
• Include a thoughtful consideration of alignment, including who you would have to persuade to do project and how you would persuade them; and any special permits or allowances that would be needed
• Show how you or someone else could realistically carry out this project
• For this project, you do not need to reference any other theories or concepts other than VAE
