I believe MBO is one of the best ways to run any company or agency and should be practiced nearly everywhere unless a better system is put in place. It gives such a clear line of communication between work life, personal life, and the ultimate objectives in the company. Employees know what is expected of them, mangers know they need to hold the employees to that level of expectations and higher leadership can easily see faults if one department isn't working up to the standard. Criminal justice is particularly perfect, especially in regards to investigations as they can quickly become unorganized. However, with MBO in place each department is able to track and see what needs to be done, when it needs to be done, and how it needs to be accomplished
