I believe that releasing sensitive information to the public regarding young people who come into conflict with the law should not be allowed. As stated under the YCJA "the age range to youth justice is 12-17 at the time of the offence", youth between these ages are still in school and releasing sensitive information may cause potential bullying within the school system. Furthermore, withholding personal information from the public it encourages youth to seek rehabilitation for their actions.

However, some benefits to releasing this information to the public will allow for others around to be cautious and aware of the actions made by the youth in question. As mentioned earlier the benefits of disclosing sensitive information will allow the youth to seek rehabilitation as well as receive support from their parents and certain agencies who deal with youth conflict.

Nowadays social media is a place where youth can say or do anything they want without noticeable consequence, thus permitting officers to track down youth criminals easier. Although most social media platforms have begun to filter content and taking down certain posts, a majority still slips through which creates an opportunity for youth criminals to share their crimes with the public.
