Question 1. states:
a. Use the ruler to draw a set of axes and then use the compass to make a circle centered at the origin in the box below. If you do not have a compass, you can trace the bottom of a glass or bottle. Measure the radius of the circle in centimeters and write it down (Here I drew a circle with a radius of 3.5 centimeters)
b. Write down the equation of the circle using the radius you measured. (I think the equation of the circle would beX2+Y2=(3.5)2=12.25 but I'm not certain and I feel like I am missing something.)
Could someone help me with this?
2. Choose a point on the circle in the second quadrant that is not on the axes. . Measure the coordinates of the points in centimeters and write them down. . Show that the coordinates you measured satisfy the equation you built in # 1. 3. Use the string to measure the arc length along the circle to your chosen point by laying the string along the circle starting at the 3 o'clock position, going counter-clockwise and ending at your point. . Write down the arc length and include units. . What is the radian measure of the angle corresponding to this arc? Write it down. . Use the protractor to measure the same angle in degrees. Write it down. 4. Using your calculator, evaluate cosine and sine of your angle. . Write down your results. . Multiply your answers by the radius, square the values you obtained and add them together. Write down your answer and include unitsStep by Step Solution
