I currently work as a consultant for a health tech company, and I am finally working on my goal of becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. From this course I expect to learn about organizational behaviors and how these affect healthcare organizations and consequently health outcomes, I plan to apply the theories and concepts learned in this course within my career to develop into an effective leader within my organization, and even more so, in my community. Based on what I have read and understood from each leadership style, I would say my dominant leadership style is servant leadership. Although, transformational leadership also seemed like an accurate representation of my leadership style, I certainly am more of a servant. I have assumed that my dominant leadership style is the servant leadership because sine I know myself, I have always tried to take care of others before I take care of myself, whether this came from my spiritual upbringing or watching my mother always take care of others, I am unsure, but one thing was clear to me as I grew up I would always be in a career that served others and was for the good of others.
