I found this case on course hero... but the explanation isn't the same one to the case I looked up. I am thinking now I wasted hours of time writing my paper on wrong case. Here's a partial statement with added words from me of what the student wrote on course hero under PLG203 EGCC COLLIER V. REESE 2009 OK 86

Fact versus opinion: The facts Plaintiff Collier and the defendant Reese, along with his friends were involved in a fight at a fast-food restaurant. The testimony of Collier along with the eyewitness are also facts. Note: Collier must prove at least fifty percent of the facts are true. The statement Reese made alleged Collier enticed them using racial slurs and threatening he had a knife is an opinion. Also, an opinion could be the expert lie detector witness who interpreted the results. Can you help? or do I need to find another case similar to this one?

Step 1 Read the following fact pattern.

During a bar fight, Defendant smashes the Victim in the face. Between the testimony of the bartender, evidence indicating that the Victim had to be hit in the face by someone else, and the bits of glass found on the Victim's clothing, Defendant is convicted of assault and battery. The victim now civilly sues for damages.

Step 2 Draft a paper analyzing proof of negligence issues .Step 3 Find a similar case.

Using the Internet or a law library, find a case that is similar to the fact pattern.

Step 4 Compare the case you found with that of the fact pattern. In addition, in your paper, include whether or not the victim of your case won at his or her civil trial. Do you agree with the verdict? Provide a rationale that supports your opinion. NOTE: I already wrote Step 2 So I need to find a similar case.
