I have 2 assignment about accounting capstone class. Its just and one project but its 2 assignment. Here is the document

image text in transcribed Assignment 1 It might be difficult for you to imagine yourself in a professional role using your newly earned accounting degree. Or maybe you're already using your course information and skills and are formalizing your education by earning your degree. In either case, it's always a good practice to reflect on what skills, degrees, and certifications employers are looking for in their new hires, and what positions are available in your area. As you reflect on your education and work path thus far in your life, consider the impact of your education and how you will continue to learn throughout your life, not just in the classroom but on the job, in training, workshops, seminars, and professional development opportunities. Using at least one Internet search engine, research and gather the finer details for two open positions in your geographic area; one should be a position that you can obtain now with your Associates Degree in Accounting, the other should be a "reach" goal position--something that you might need some more experience, education, or time in the industry to obtain. Learn more about the general requirements and expectations of careers using the Occupational Outlook Handbook: http://www.bls.gov/ooh/ or O*NET OnLine: https://www.onetonline.org/. While conducting your research, take notes about your process, including the search engine you used, your search terms and phrases, and the ways you narrowed your search results to your specific field and region. Once you have located the requirements of these two positions, create a table in Microsoft Word that includes the following information: Name of employer Title of position Location of position Pay rate or range Prior experience requests or requirements Accounting specific skills required Transferable skills required Certifications required Once you have completed the table, address the following questions in the Word document below your table. How do you rate your accounting specific skills in relation to the requirements of your attainable position chosen? Are you ready to start your new career? Or do you feel that there will be more to learn once you land the job? Give specific examples to support your assessment of your job readiness. How do you rate your transferable skills required in your attainable position chosen? Which transferable skills would you like to enhance to better prepare you for this position? Give specific examples of how you might go about doing so. How might you prepare yourself for job interviews for these positions? Using at least two credible sources (articles from professional magazines and associations, case studies, and newspaper articles might be especially helpful) from Rasmussen College Library databases such as Business Source Complete and Business via ProQuest, research and learn about interview preparation tactics. Then think about and explain some interview preparation strategies that you would use. Considering your "reach" goal position, do you feel you have the accounting specific skills necessary right now to perform well in that position? Is it a reach because of the experience required or the education required? Or both? Do you see yourself going back to school to earn additional credentials or pursuing certifications to assist you in securing a position such as this? Explain any additional degrees or certifications you feel might be necessary and helpful as you progress through your career. Explain which Internet search engine(s) and library databases you used. Which resource(s) did you research from those queries? Explain the search terms you used and share to what degree of success you experienced with those terms. Were they too broad or too specific? What search terms and tools ultimately brought you to your desired results? Provide APA in-text citations and a reference page to indicate sources selected and used. Looking Ahead: As you complete these tasks, consider using your optional journal to record the transferable skills you are using: information literacy, digital fluency, and communication skills are all being used at some level in this project. Remember, the final phase of this course project will be a reflection assignment regarding your display of transferable skills throughout the project. You will be well served to put your thoughts in writing now, allowing for a more robust reflection at the end of the project. Assignment 2 Congratulations! Through your research and efforts last week, you've been offered and accepted a position as a staff accountant at ABC Tax & Accounting Service. As a public accountant, you will work with many clients and organizations every day. This requires a number of skills, including time management, communication, information literacy, digital fluency, and teamwork, along with accounting knowledge and skills. In this new position, you have a number of duties and clients you are responsible for. After a long weekend, you arrive to the office on Monday morning, April 11th, to the communications and issues in this document. Along with all of the communications on your task list, you have work from prior weeks to attend to as well, including the March bookkeeping for Buzz Electricals, quarterly payroll reports for the Ripp Sewing Company due to be postmarked by April 30th, and a few tax returns that were started last week that clients would like to review and sign on Wednesday of this week. Your schedule for the day shows the following: MONDAY, APRIL 11th 8am-9am 9am-10am Staff Meeting 10am-11am 11am-12pm 12pm-1pm Lunch - Planning Session 1pm-2pm New Tax Client Meeting 2pm-3pm 3pm-4pm 4pm-5pm Training - "Affordable Care Act Impact on Payroll Recordkeep To complete this assignment, do the following: Prioritize what you will be working on today. In a single Word document, create a schedule in tabular format (you can use the schedule table above as a starting point) that shows the tasks you plan to complete today. Then, beneath the table, address the following: 1 Justify any tasks that you will be pushing to tomorrow or later and explain how you plan to address any scheduling or deadline conflicts. 2 Explain at least one alternative to the schedule you have created for yourself. Why is your chosen schedule more efficient/beneficial than other option? How does your choice benefit your employer? Your clients? You as an employee? Share how you will be responding to the email and voicemail messages in the document posted above using the following guidelines: 1 Emails should be written exactly as you would send them to clients or vendors, and voicemails should be scripted as exactly what you would say in response to the issues being raised. 2 Ensure you are providing accurate and pointed information along with any relevant details needed in your communications. 3 Remember to communicate in a professional and appropriate manner, keeping your audience and communication purpose in mind, as would be expected of you on the job. 4 Your submission can be a combination of different types of communications to address the concerns and issues that have arisen above. This might mean using a Word document, Excel document, or PowerPoint document or any combination thereof. Or you may decide to handle all communications in a single type of format. 5 Your communications should be clear, professional, and free from grammatical error, effectively using spellcheck and dictionary tools within the software programs chosen. Remember to give credit to any external sources used by providing in-text citations and a reference page. ABC Tax & Accounting Work Task List Staff Accountant The following emails, voicemails, and interoffice notes have occurred throughout your day: Email received on Friday, April 8th at 5:32pm from Bob Dillon, a tax client. Your research of Bob's Form 1040 tax return for this year reveals that Bob is a single, selfemployed individual with no dependents who shows an adjusted gross income of $52,300 on his tax return filed two weeks ago. Email received on Monday, April 11th at 7:48am from William Knoll. Phone message left on voicemail at 7:58am from William Knoll. Payroll timecards are dropped off by Widgets International to be tabulated for their payroll on April 15th. John Farmer dropped off his January-March bank statements and check register information for bookkeeping. The January-March financials need to be delivered to his loan officer by April 30 th for John to be in compliance with his loan requirements. You have a lunch meeting set up with your manager to catch up on your continuing education progress and your plans for the future. You need to draft a plan for your continuing education progress and goals to present to your manager. He has asked that you set three short-term and three long-term professional goals for yourself to work towards. A phone message was left at 12:34pm from the A/R Manager at Booming Records. Investigation of the situation shows that Booming Records received a check for $400, but the check was written payable to ABC Shingling. Respond appropriately
