I have a homework question I need help with:

We have a constant-velocity cam rotates with angular velocity of 100 RPM. The cam is to have translating roller follower with a half inch roller diameter. The cam will rotate Counter clockwise. The roller follower is required to dwelll at zero lift for the first 60 degrees and to dwell at 2 in lift for cam angles from 200 degrees to 240 degrees.

part one asks to Lay out the cam profile, using uniform motion, assume base circle is 2.5 inches in radius

part two asks to Lay out the cam profile, using parabolic motion, assume base circle is 3 inches in radius

part three asks to Lay out the cam profile, using harmonic motion, assume base circle is 3.6 inches in radius

Using 10 degrees plotting increments to create a table for each motion type first (using excel, for example), then create the Cam system using SolidWorks for each cam profiles and motion simulation.
