I have a project on hypothesis testing. I think I am headed in the right direction, but it's a major part of my grade.
Complete the following four hypotheses, using = 0.05 for each. The week 5 spreadsheet can be used in these analyses. Right now, I am only looking for help on question 1. I am making my way through the others.
- 1. Mean sales per week exceed 42.5 per salesperson
- 2. Proportion receiving online training is less than 55%
- 3Mean calls made among those with no training is at least 145
- 4. Mean time per call is 14.7 minutes
To calculate, mean is 43.63, standard deviation is .74395, count is 100
The hypothesis is if mean sales call per week exceed 42.5 per sales person.
The null and alternate hypotheses are Ho=42.5 and Ha >42.5, would like to confirm this is right
Type of test: I believe a right tail?? not real sure
Used z test instead of t. Need a good explanation
Need help on rejection region
Test statistic t=1.52 again, need confimation
p value = .94 need confirmation
Hypothesis test result for p value: My response is the null hypothesis is rejected because the critical value is greater than the test valye.
Hypothesis test result using test statistic z=1.64, > t=1.52
Do the results support the claim being made? My response Since Z> critical, the hypothesis is rejected and it can be concluded that the mean sales per week exceeds 42.5
99% confidence interval: 41.61, 45.55
