I have a question about the correlation coefficient. If the p is weighed against the 0.05 value, what is the value used to measure the correlation? We reject the null if we find the p-value less than 0.05, but what about the correlation strength? Is there a cut-off or something to use against to decide on how strong or weak the correlation is? What is the simplest way of interpreting the correlation strength without using the scatter plot, or maybe there was none?
