I have an assignment regarding the PSISA. I will include the scenario then the questions I really need help with!

Scenario:

You are a Private Investigator assigned to file "Smith, John N: DOB 01/24/76". At 05:30 a.m. you arrive on scene at Smith's residence 123 Anywhere Ave, a 21 storey apartment building. The front doors are locked. You gain entrance by piggy-backing with a resident who used their key to open the door. You then make your way up to the 14th floor to sit in the stairwell and watch to see if Smith exits his apartment. While waiting in the stairwell, a Security Guard (S/G) approaches and demands to see your Private Investigators Identification. The S/G then demands you leave the premises at once. You disregard the demand of the S/G and state you have the authority to monitor Smith's apartment. The S/G then arrests you and takes you down to the main floor to hand you over to the police. While waiting for the police the S/G searches you for your Private Investigators License and also finds the file run-up on Smith.
