I have been given this question and I am to a report about it, however I am struggling quite a bit. It is to be in relation to public law not criminal law etc.

Which do you think is more effective in protecting and promoting the role of courts and the exercise of judicial powers in order to protect us from intrusive or arbitrary government actions: the Boilermakers doctrine or the principle of legality?Why?

The structure of the report is introduction, positive and negative parpraph and conclusion.
