I have been waiting on masterbuffaloperson838 to respond to my follow up question because he chose a company that paid for their unethical conduct.

(This is his answer but was wrong and I hope I get a credit for this.)The manner in which Google handled sexual harassment claims brought against former executives is a good example of a company that engaged in legal behavior that was unethical over the past year. It was revealed in 2018 that Google had paid millions of dollars in exit packages to executives who were accused of sexual harassment. One of these payouts was a whopping $90 million to Andy Rubin, who was also the person responsible for creating Android. Google has continued to praise the executives and has not disclosed the reasons behind their departures, despite the allegations that have been made against them. Although Google's actions did not break the law, many people viewed them as unethical due to the fact that they placed more importance on the reputation of the company than the welfare of its workers.

Google paid for their crime and jail time was appointed.

I'm looking for a company a unethical business in the past year or so that was NOT pushed for their crimes, NO FINDS, NO JAIL TIME, NO NOTHING. Got caught but because the law consider it unethical but not illegal so was not found guilty of the crime and they all walked TOTALLY free.

Really need some help on this one.. I don't want to use up my ask questions.

  • When it comes to legal conduct, where are laws found and what is the purpose of law identified in the chapter reading? Which do you most agree with? If running a business, where should a business executive look to find and understand the law that governs their business? Resources needed to support your story.
