I have created an entire business plan for a start up Fitness Apparel line for women in one of my classes, but I am stuck on the Marketing Plan part. The last section is:

  • Market strategy, implementation, and monitoring

I need a basic example or a layout so I can finish.

Here is what I have for my Marketing plan so far:

Environmental Analysis

The environmental analysis assesses external uncontrollable variables that my impact a business. Using the PEST analysis, it categorizes the changes and forces that affect a startup either directly or indirectly through customers, suppliers and competitors. PEST is an acronym that stands for the Political, Economic, Social and Technological market forces.

Some Political forces that could come into play and have a possible effect on suppliers, partners, and customers are:

  • tax regulations
  • trade rules
  • environmental legislation

Economic factors can either create opportunities or threaten potential customers. Some factors are:

  • economic growth rate
  • interest rates
  • currency changes
  • inflation

For social factors, that can include shifts in the demographic profile, cultural trends, or a decrease in healthy lifestyles.

  • demographic trends such as birth rates, aging, and migration patterns
  • attitudes towards healthy lifestyles and going to fitness centers/gyms
  • attitudes toward gym apparel other than in the gym

Technological factors are just like economic, they can create threats or new opportunities.

  • specific technological breakthroughs
  • the launch of innovative new products
  • areas that undergo much research and development
  • patents that receive publicity

SWOT Analysis

Strength

One of Beauty is the Beast's most noteworthy strengths is its unrelenting emphasis on quality. Some lines of athletic apparel manufactured by Beauty is the Beast consists of advanced waterproof fabrics with membrane technology to wick water away from the body while simultaneously preventing it from entering deeper layers of the fabric. The fabric composition of also prohibits odours from developing because technology in the material prevents bacteria from growing on the outside surface of the clothing. While Beauty is the Beast incorporates a broad spectrum of fabrics in its activewear, all materials used are of an upper echelon quality, and leverages this trademark skillfully to its advantage.

Weakness

One of the biggest weaknesses Beauty is the Beast will face is being new to the market. It is hard to encourage brand loyalty right off the bat. The competition is vast and in order to stand out quickly, marketing must be taken seriously and strategically. Ways to overcome the biggest weakness is to run promotions such as - buy one, get one free- or a major discount for first time buyers.

Opportunities

Social media is become more useful tool and popular in modern society. Besides, our business can benefit from free promotion and advertising our sports products on social networking sites, especially Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YT stage, in them using social media to get current information and new products. Obviously, Beauty is the Beast is selling sporty goods for teenagers or adults who play sports. Facebook is the most popular society media which helps people link to the other friends they may not be able to contact; or else helps our company find out more information about recent consumer comment or base for improving and developing the best products to increase buyer loyalty. Nowadays, almost all consumers are very emphasizing health and fitness. The culture of America is very focused on sports since they want to be a healthy person, and that is why a rise in sport participation of people. America is one of the leading sporting nations in the world and many good markets there. In addition, the most exciting thing is that the product of athletic wear is able to sell to various people, such as old peoples, teenagers and kids. For this reason, it will be more appealing to more potential customers.

Brand recognition is the important key of developing the strongest reputation with the brand and product that they want to promote. However, increasing brand loyalty, which makes shopper, is aware of the concept of the brand and products. Many competitors One of the main problems is that there are many competitors provide the top famous brands which are global brands in market. A number of marketers will create the new price with similar product in order to reach high sales volume. Moreover, competitors will concern about customer-based on the well-known brand or non-brand between the products and prices. Therefore, most consumers will typically purchase well-known brand products only caused by the name of the brand. Price competitive As the weakness issue that we discussed earlier, our company is becoming price competitive. Due to expensive price, customer might drop their demand of goods and services, it can leads to price competition among these retailers. The reason is that consumer are shopping around, go to other store compare the prices for similar products, or wait for discounting before purchase. Furthermore, they might judge the quality of the product through the brand name and prices. Therefore, Beauty is the Beast needs to compete with the cheaper prices and the most expensive prices, so it just depends on different types of qualities are the consumers want.
