I have just read chapters 1-4 in Criminal Evidence by Robert M. Donely, copyright 2018 by Pearson Education Inc. In referring to these chapters and am looking for help with:

1. What is the purpose of having legal rules of evidence? Explain.

2. Thoroughly explain the types of evidence that can be offered to prove or disprove factual issues.

I can't use any outside resources only my textbook.
