I have just read chapters 5-8 in Criminal Evidence by Robert m. Donley, copyright 2018 by Pearson Education Inc.

Is it possible for a case to be appealed from a state trial court up to the US Supreme Court, without going through the State Supreme Court? Explain.

I can't use any outside resources, only my textbook and the attached article called "Best evidence rule" by Cornell Law School. please indicate any pages you find in the textbook that you refer to. I will see how this measure up to my answers I have completed.
