I have learned, an ethical dilemma is a conflict between alternatives where neither alternative is desirable. Choosing either one will compromise something. Each choice will have its downside: it could compromise ethics, cause ethical and/or legal problems, cause harm, raise difficult questions, or otherwise lead to an undesirable situation.Ideally, the decision maker would do both acts or neither, but he cannot. He has to choose, and can only choose, one.The dilemma is being confronted with these undesirable choices and having to choose one.

Boeing realizing that there was a flaw in its flight simulators for the 737 MAX, pushed for and received a lighter and faster safety certification approval from the FAA; because the 737 MAX was called a derivative model of the main 737 line, both sides of the leadership aisle at the FAA and Boeing got the quick and speedy safety approval; putting countless lives at risk.

Boeing chose a course of action - which adversely affected others as well as the company.

How has these choices negatively impacted Boeing and what could they have done differently?
