I have questions about statistic test and visual information. I am doing data analysis and the author states that
1. VAS, blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR) and respiratory rate (RR) were monitored on the same occasions and recorded
2. The data were analysed by SPSS for Windows (version 22.0; SPSS, Chicago, IL, USA) software.
3. A normal distribution of data was checked by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test.
4. Continuous variables were expressed as mean S.D., and categorical variables were reported as numbers (percentages).
5. Student's unpaired t-test was used to compare normally distributed continuous variables (demographic and clinical data and morphine needed during 24 hr).
6. Mann-Whitney U-test was used for comparison of nonparametric data (VAS scores).
7. Categorical variables (side effects) were compared by chi-square test or Fisher's exact test, as appropriate. All p values <0.05 were considered significant. Author states that why these statistic tests were used however this article did not provide specific table and figures for each statistic tests.
