The article describes the experiment as a randomized, single-blinded experiment of 37 subjects with metabolic syndrome. What do you think "single-blinded" mean here? Why isn't a double-blind experiment possible?

The number of Americans living below the official poverty line increased from 35,574,000 to 39,698,000 in 20 years between 1997 and 2017. What percentage increase was this? You should not conclude form these values alone that poverty became more common during this time period. Why not?
