I have the following assignment: Evaluation of Control Chart and Process Metrics

1. Complete the following in Excel: Calculate the defined process metrics including variation and process capability.

2. Develop and display a control chart for the process

My process is as follows (focusing on eliminating waste):

1. I have to create a memorandum to City Attorney requesting a Resolution

2. City Attorney returning resolution to me

3. I then have to prepare a memo to City Manager(CM)

4. CM return signed Memo of approval back to me

5. I then prepare documents and forward to City Clerk

6. City Clerk add item to the agenda

These all done by paper format with original documents and so this is time consuming delivering paperwork back and forth. I need to figure out how to do the calculations based on the above process I have stated and create the control chart as well. How do I do this? How do I come up with the numbers to plug in the chart etc.?
