I have to write a paper about the transportation sector within Edmonton, AB. I am proposing that green infrastructure (green roofs, rain gardens, and permeable surfaces) will reduce folding events within the major throughways (dangerous goods routes) within the city. I need to discuss how a climate-informed assessment led to the options presented. Also, I need an overview of the structural and non-structural options that will increase the resiliency of the transportation sector. Basically, the purpose of this paper is to specifically discuss the vulnerabilities of the transportation sector within Edmonton due to flooding events and how mitigation can lessen the impact of climate change on the sector.
