I have used a LIDAR Lite v3 (capable of 3D image scanning) to scan the contents of a room. To draw a point cloud (3D scatter map), I need to convert the pan/tilt/distance data into x, y and z coordinates by creating a program. I am thinking about using MS Excel. Where can I find information about this? My search terms must be incorrect because I don't seem to be finding any relevant information. Any solutions to this problem or links to where I might find something please?
