I hope this film struck your heart like it did mine. I still love it every time I watch it and discuss it. The film score for To Kill a Mockingbird brilliantly displays simplicity in a number of ways.

• Describe the score and explain how you believe the innocence of childhood is retained through the use of the music in this film.
• Reflect on the juxtaposition of the morality of a child and the evil of corrupt thought. I think the music brings out the light of childhood so very well. This film is heavy and requires much thought in my opinion. The score highlights this idea well, with a heavy plot and sweetness in the score.
• Finally what is the undercurrent here? Sure the outward expression is deep racism, but that is the easier subject to approach for these townspeople. That is pervasive and part of their daily lives, unfortunately.
