I JUST NEED INTRODUCTION, LITERATURE OVERVIEW AND Conclusions DETAILS FOR REPORT
The requirement of an IT university is to design a complete topology for its structure. Being a network engineer, you are required to design the sample topology as per the following requirements: There are 6 sub-buildings in the university: Admin Block (3 floors i.e. for HR, accounts and for Principal office) Faculty Building (2 floors) IT Building (2 floors) Class Rooms (5 floors with 20 rooms on each floor) Student Facilitation Centre (3 floors) Auditorium (can accommodate 200 people at a time)
I. As an administrative unit, users in the IT building can access the data and streaming of any department to keep checks and to manage fault tolerance.
II. Every building except Admin block has a secured router and separate floor switches to maximize network reliability (lesser down times in case of link failures), and it will also be able to avoid unauthorized access. The switch must shut down the effected port, in case of unauthorized access.
III. Admin Block has no router and 3 separate floor switches. The main switch in admin block is connected to the router in its adjacent building.
IV. Principal office will have special access to HR and accounts departmental data for monitoring.
V. IT, Faculty and Student Facilitation Centre must be secured against any Telnet request that comes from other networks.
VI. The end host must be configured for IP addresses via DHCP server. All servers are placed in IT building e.g. HTTP server and DNS server.
VII. HTTP Server should be configured to display a sample webpage.
VIII. DNS Server should be configured to reply all DNS queries from anywhere in the network.
IX. Apply technique to avoid wastage of IPs in Student Facilitation Center, Auditorium and Faculty Building.
Design the network as per the requirements illustrated above using Cisco Packet Tracer.
Following items are included in the deliverables:
