I live in Virginia, and currently have a huge problem with owner house.

I rent house for 6 months and pay first 500$ for the deposit. But after the end of 6th month, when the owner of house require me to clean bathroom but I forgot to clean bathroom, then she refuse to pay back 500$ as she said that 500$ she paid for the professional cleaner, and until now I lost 500$

In my situation, is she legally to refuse to return me 500$ if I forgot to clean the bathroom ? And can I sue her due to this ?
