****I must use Minitab to answer the following question*** I don't know how to send the excel data to you but hopefully you can walk me through the steps on how this is done using Minitab in order to answer the question. Preferably showing me images from Minitab. I am including a partial image of what the data looks like.

Since 1972, the GSS has been tracking American attitudes on a wide variety of topics. With the exception of the U.S. Census, the GSS is the most frequently used source of information about American society. The surveys are now conducted every other year and measure hundreds of variables on thousands of observations. We have reduced the number of variables to about 60 and have deleted the responses that are known as missing data (don't know, refused, etc.). Our data set is taken from 2008. You can read this data into Minitab "GSS2008.csv".

  • Is there sufficient evidence to conclude that people who work for the government (WRKGOVT: 1 = Government, 2 = Private) work a different amount of hours (HRS), on average?

? Is there sufficient evidence to conclude that people who work for the government (WRKGOVT: 1 = Government, 2 = Private) have a different income (INCOME), on average?

? Is there sufficient evidence to conclude that people who work for the government (WRKGOVT: 1 = Government, 2 = Private) stay with their employer shorter or longer (CUREMPYR), on average?

? Provide visuals to support the results you find in the previous three parts. Briefly discuss what you notice. ? Estimate with 95% confidence the mean number of years with current employer (CUREMPYR).

? Estimate with 95% confidence the proportion of Americans whose income is at least $75,000 (groups 21-25 in INCOME06). ? Can we infer from the data that the proportion of Americans earning at least $75,000 is different in 2008 (INCOME) than in 2006?
