It should be a dyad. A dyad is where two people meet and discuss topics that include professional growth, interpersonal conflict, work-life balance, etc. Mentoring can be fuel-efficient and effortless. It should not drain energy (Landry & Lewiss, 2020). As I reflect on the most influential mentor, I have had it takes me back to 1991. The mentor I had had an authoritative leadership style. She was authentic and very knowledgeable. She was a visionary leader. Carol was great at providing direction and bringing clarity. She was also the first one to make sure the team worked together and encouraged cohesiveness
