i need a discussion post on this: Thanks for sharing that Jenzelle and I would like to add that transparent communication includes both good and bad information. It needs to be shared upward, downward, and laterally so that the why is seen. A workplace with transparent communication is more productive and creates a trustworthy workplace. It allows employees to be more innovative and encourages them to communicate openly and share their ideas. Transparent communication can be increased by being timely in communication and then aligning it with the organization's mission. Employees appreciate being in the loop soon after the leaders learn information. It gains their trust and gives them time to absorb the information (Michigan State University, 2023). I have learned through the years in my leadership roles that being transparent with staff is the most important factor in building a relationship of trust with the team. I always strive to get their buy-in on new projects or changes forthcoming before they even get started. This has proven successful for me and I think it shows strength in the team and many of the nursing leaders have been under my leadership for 15 or more years
