I need a non-linear equation to govern a speed bonus for a game of solitaire. Each second remaining on the game timer of 300 seconds could be worth 4 or 10 points. However, the percentage of the time bonus given is dependent on the number of cards (out of a 52-card deck) are solved into the foundation stacks. So, if all cards are solved, 100% of the time bonus will be given. But if not all cards are solved, less and less of the time bonus will be given. I would like to reward the lower half of the deck more than the latter half of the deck, as quickly knowing when the game can no longer progress is an important skill. Keep in mind that 2 contenders will be playing with the same parameters (same order of cards in deck, so the tableau and draw pile will be identical), so split seconds in game time matters. If both players make identical moves, a tenth of a second difference in time should reflect as 1 point (if each second is worth 10 points). I need the time bonus to be reflected as whole numbers if possible. Graphically, something like the attached picture. Thank you!!!!
