1- When and why are samples more convenient than working with an entire population?

When

Probability-based sampling methods are considered better because they can prevent sampling bias. However, there are times when it is not possible to use one of these methods. For example, a researcher may not have access to the entire population.

Why

Because usually, a sample of the population is used in research, as it iseasier and cost-effective to process a smaller subset of the peoplerather than the entire group. It represents the largest population and is used to conclude that population. It is a research technique widely used in sciences to collect information without measuring the entire population.

A Panel Study is a form of longitudinal research in which a panel of respondents or subjects is selected and then followed or interviewed over time. In a Panel Study, Panel members are often difficult to recruit because of an unwillingness to fill out questionnaires or submit to interviews several times. For example, if in a Panel Study, first-year university students are selected, the researcher would be able to learn what their routes are towards an undergraduate degree individually. It is a quantitative research technique that obtains periodic information from a population sample.

4-What is Snowball Sampling?

Snowball sampling method: People can find one or two participants and get "referrals" for more potentialparticipants. Also, each participant/interviewee refers more people. In other words, snowball sampling or chain-referral sampling is defined as a non-probability sampling technique in which the samples have traits that are rare to find. This is a sampling technique in which existing subjects recruit samples required for a research study.
