We all have our favorite "merchandisers." Think of two very favorite retailers as far as large retailers go. (They could be places that you like to shop or eat or go for entertainment -- but the companies should be publicly held. You should try and choose two in the same industry. Go look up the annual revenues of those two favorite retail establishments. I would encourage you to use Yahoo Finance because it's quick and easy but there are lots of ways to search for the information. In your discussion post, include in PARAGRAPH FORM the name of the two retailers, the ticker symbols for each company, the amounts of ANNUAL revenues generated for each, as well as the NET PROFIT PERCENTAGE (PAYATTENTION to the top of the income statement. If the amounts are in thousands, then make sure you STATE THIS in your post.) The net proht percentage is computed as net income/Net Sales (Or Net Revenue). In addition to reporting the amounts Comment on the results. Perhaps comment on why you chose the two companies. Were the results what you expected? Were you surprised by the results? (You should look to reply to someone that had a company in a similar industry as the one that you chose, if possible. -- and compare the results
